Calgary eSports United\u2019s activities revolve around a few key pillars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The club provides genuine opportunities to sharpen your gaming skills. This isn&#8217;t just for hardcore gamers; newcomers are welcome too! All you need is the drive to try and improve. You can level up your gameplay through various tournaments and challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Beyond just gaming, the club emphasizes in-person discussions, which can happen both online and offline. Here, Calgarians can connect with like-minded individuals to chat about their favourite games. These include private lobbies and casual game nights for a relaxed vibe. The club&#8217;s main mission is to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for students passionate about esports. Club members do everything they can to cultivate esports talent, promote a friendly community, and boost the prestige of esports. Calgary eSports United proudly represents the University of Calgary, putting it on the map in the elite student esports arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 28, 2024, Calgary eSports United announced via social media that they were changing their name to UCalgary Dinos. Recall that it all began as the UCalgary League of Legends club.
